It’s been an unforgettable weekend in Liverpool: we had a lot of fun, we knew beautiful and really drunk people and we played 3 gigs in less than 24 hours!

Temponauts leave for Liverpool!

It’s time to take the first starship and fly straight to the Cavern Club in Liverpool, to take part in the hottest weekend of the year, on occasion of International Pop Overthrow.

We’re going to play on Saturday the 24th and on Sunday the 25th of May along with many other great bands like The Higher State, The Ace, The Len Price 3, The Vickers and many many others.

If you read this post try to be there, it’s worth it!

Series Two Compilation Vol. 2

The official release date for the 4 CD set compilations containing Volume 2, Volume 3, Volume 4 and Volume 5 will be released on April 22^nd.

Copies at this time are only available through Series Two Records and the distributor in Germany Vollwert Records. The compilations are limited to 100 sets of 4 CD’s containing all 90 bands, 90 songs and over 300 minutes of music. Availability of the 4 CD set is very good at the moment. The records can be purchased for the price of 25 USD by sending a paypal to Seriestworecords@gmail.com.

Sale copies are limited to 100 (there will only be 100 of the 4 CD sets in existence). YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS THEM!

Shelflife Records has returned and are tempting my wallet to the point of pain. They plan to release 7″ + CD sets in runs of 300, each with such beautiful cover art that it makes you wonder why anybody would ever download music. The first release is by a lovely folk band from Italy, Warm Morning. With all the Kings of Convenience comparisons, I have very high hopes. I’m sure that I’m going to have to lose this idea to be able to fully appreciate the band (on the first few listens, I’m not a convert yet, but am still intrigued). They plan to follow with releases by A Smile and a Ribbon and Days (I can’t wait for this one!). You can listen to all the bands, as well as find links to their MySpace pages at Shelflife Records’ MySpace page. Copies can be bought through Shelflife Records or Tonevendor…and remember, they are oh-so-limited (and a bit expensive!).

WORK IN PROGRESS

We spent the second week of studio sessions,concentrating on the piano and our pianist LUCA, as I told you, worked really good.
He played a grand piano on the first songs he recorded but he also used a vertical one, to have a wide range of sounds.
Grand piano, with its polite sound fitted perfectly our popsy songs instead the vertical one had the right vibes for our folksy tunes.
It’s really amazing to see our music that slowly takes shape and keeps on changing day by day, like a microscopic seed becoming a big tree full of flowers.
Now we’re waiting for the spring.

WE’VE ONLY JUST BEGUN

The first week of recording sessions of our new album has just ended and I can say that we’re working the right way, thanks to the precious help of ALBERTO our producer and boss of ELFO STUDIO

We have begun last monday, recording drums of eleven songs and I think that our drummer ANDREA has worked perfectly! Next week will be dedicated to the piano recordings and we will have the honour to use a splendid coda piano with a wonderful sound. I think that our pianist LUCA will give us much satisfaction!

Well, it’s a big big work because we have a lot of new stuff to work on, but we have to go on step by step, trying to go off by ourselves from the confusion of this noisy world, just listening to the whispers of the country around us.

SERIES TWO RECORDS COMPLILATION

We will partecipate to a compilation of indie pop bands from all over the world signed by Series Two Records, a small and interesting label based in Columbus, Nebraska.

They will publish a song included in our album “Feather”, titled Diamond Lies.
